Caring for your Polymer Clay Earrings

Polymer clay is a flexible, lightweight material. Your earrings should be flexible, but please don’t try to bend them. Avoid submerging in water and using chemicals, aerosols, and perfumes near your earrings. In the event that your earrings get dirty, wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth or a baby wipe. If there is dirt you wish to clean off, you may use a q-tip with acetone on it to gently rub any dirty spots. Do not use acetone if the piece has gold leaf, paint or any other finish to it.

Store your earrings carefully so they don’t get scratched or damaged.

Other Materials used:

All earrings have stainless steel hypoallergenic posts, which are nickel-free and great for sensitive ears. Posts are double reinforced in a way that is extremely secure - your earring backs should never come off with normal use.

Resin and polyurethane are sometimes used to coat earrings with mixed media such as glitter or paint. This protects the surface for longevity and achieves the desired finish to your piece. Resin is also used to create trinket dishes, hair clips and some earrings - these can be treated much like polymer clay, and can be cleaned with a soft wet cloth and/or mild dish soap. Brass or silver components should not get wet as this will cause the piece to tarnish. Keep earrings with any of these elements away from harsh sunlight and extreme heat. If a piece does tarnish, clean with a baby wipe, brasso metal polish or cola soda.

Do you offer clip-ons or necklaces?

If you would prefer clip-on backs, please let us know when checking out. If the base for the clip is smaller than 1/2 inch, we will adjust the design to accommodate the clip size. The clip-ons I use are hypoallergenic stainless steel and are nickel-free.

I can make a pendant out of most earring styles and it never hurts to ask. The final decision will be made at my discretion. I have found necklaces don’t sell very fast for me, so I don’t make a lot without being asked for a custom piece. Reach out and we will figure it out together.

When will my order ship? When will I receive it?

It takes 4-6 days to process an item and get it to the post office. This does not include holidays or weekends. International buyers are responsible for customs and import taxes.

Tucson customers can utilize local pick-up on the east side of town. Leave me a note at check-out and your shipping will be refunded once we have arranged a pick-up time.

Once your item arrives at the post office, we are not responsible for any lost, missing, or damaged packages. If a package is lost or damaged, you must file a claim with the shipping vendor. I will do my best to help you with this process, but it is your responsibility.
