Our Story

Megan Coy is the owner and maker behind Coy Creative. She is a native of Tucson, AZ, but has traveled most of the United States and internationally as a professional theatre stage manager. After being away for 6 years, she moved back to Tucson in 2019 and lives in the beautiful Sonoran Desert with her husband, daughter, son, two dogs, and cat.

Coy Creative was a long time coming - a combination of my desire to fully express myself, be my own boss, and be more present with my family. I am mainly inspired by oddities, vintage and high fashion, and the desert around me, but my inspirations are always changing. I began this journey as a statement earring enthusiast, always falling in love with quirky pairs and wearing them based on my mood. I was frustrated with the quality of many pairs I bought, inspiring my decision to only use quality metal in my designs.

I have struggled with mental illness through out my life and this has become a way for me to heal myself and offer people what I have learned about living with mental illnesses. I hope every person who wears my earrings feels brighter, more confident, and bolder after putting them on.

Coy Creative is available in some stores in Tucson, AZ and at pop-up markets around the city, most commonly St. Philip's Plaza market every Saturday and Sunday for almost two years. With over 1,700 orders in the last two years, we are all over the United States and have many wonderful repeat customers. Thank you for supporting my business!
